Dr. Victor & The Rasta Rebels are a South African band known for their energetic and uplifting pop and R&B sound. Led by singer, musician, songwriter, and producer Victor Khojane (also known as Dr. Victor), the band has been a prominent force in the South African music scene for over 20 years. They are known for their captivating live performances and have played at various events, including corporate gigs, festivals, and concerts.
Dr. Victor’s musical journey began in his school days with the band CC Beat, which later evolved into The Rasta Rebels.
The band collaborated with South African artists like Yvonne Chaka Chaka and Chicco Twala, and they also backed other artists like Lucky Dube.
he Rasta Rebels gained recognition with their tribute album featuring Eddy Grant classics, especially their rendition of “Gimme Hope Jo’Anna”.
They have toured internationally, including France, the UK, and the Middle East.
