Pearl Munthali is an ICT professional and the founder of the African Women in Information Communications Technology (AWICT) – a non-profit organization that ensures, primarily, the emancipation of African Women in ICT through Leadership Development, ICT Roundtable discussions, Mentorships, bursaries and learnerships.
She has been involved in various roles in ICT & Business for the past 18 years including heading the ICT Division for The Airports Company South Africa (ACSA), Group Chief Information Officer for The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA), Group Chief Risk Officer (PRASA), Acting Group Executive: HR & she is currently CEO: PRASA Development Foundation at the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA).
Furthermore, she is the champion for the PRASA Women in Rail Programme and also involved in developing and mentoring women leaders at PRASA. She serves in the Council of the Central University of Technology (CUT) and also serves in the following sub-committees (Chair: Human Resources Committee, Audit Committee, Investment Committee, Remuneration Committee and EXCO of Council).
