Nokwazi Mzobe is an author, consultant, adjunct lecturer, and entrepreneur, who is passionate about developing businesses in Africa. Her work allows her to cultivate entrepreneurial thinking; develop and empower business owners as well as promote a culture of intrapreneurial, innovative and creative thinking. She is the founder and lead consultant at Matoyana, an entrepreneurship & sustainability focused consulting firm which works with corporates, non-profits, business schools and individuals that believe that we (as a collective) can make a positive change on our continent by supporting & developing people to run successful, sustainable businesses.
Nolwazi Mzeba specializes on the business model and helps entrepreneurs at ideation; start-up and early growth stages, design and think through their business models, including social and green business models. She also lectures and facilitates on how businesses can use business model and value proposition tools strategically to think through and innovate new businesses, services, and products.
Her first book, The Small Business Handbook, a guide created for start-up and early stage businesses, is available in English and isiZulu, as she believes that entrepreneurial knowledge should be made accessible, so people can solve their own problems. She is constantly creating content for her business blog, as well as contributes to Thriving Magazine and other platforms.
Nolwazi Mzeba has over 8 years work experience with Procter & Gamble and Nokia International, working across the Middle East and Africa in Logistics, Marketing & Finance roles. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal; an Honours Degree from Wits University and an MBA from Hult International Business School.
